Kebab
is
a
popular
meal

seasoned
meat
that
is
cooked

vertical
rotisserie.
The
outer
layer
is
thinly
sliced
as
it
cooks.
Originally
made
with
lamb
or
mutton
it
is
nowadays
often
substituted
with
veal,
beef,
turkey
or
chicken.
It
may
be
served
on
a
plate
with
various
accompaniments,
stuffed
in
pita
breads
or
wrapped in flatbread known as Dürüm.
Description
This is a fresh and flavourful seasoning that tastes of herbs, garlic, onion and a slight spicy bite from pepper.
Uses

Doner Kebab
preparation: 60 min.
Ingredients for 4 servings:
1 lb ground lamb
1 lb ground beef
3 slices white toast
1 egg
2 tbsp olive oil
4 pita breads

Utensils:
aluminum foil, oven, sharp knife
Directions:
Mix
the
cold
meat
with
toast,
egg,
olive
oil
and
4
tbsp
Doner
Kebab
Spice
Mix.
Process
in
a
food
processor
to
sausage
meat
consistency.
Form
a
cylindric
shape
of
the
mix
and
cover
twice
with
aluminum
foil.
Preheat
oven
to
375°F
and
bake
the
doner
for
50
minutes
until
done.
Uncover
and
slice
very
thin.
Slice
pockets
into
the
pita breads and stuff with the meat, diced tomatos, salad, cucumber, onion, tzatziki and chili flakes.
